GAMES IN THE SCHOOLYARD
The aim of this game is to catch as many apples as you can, by catching the ball each time. If you catch an apple, you have one more “life” - that is you can play in the game for a second time. The last one who remains has to do the “twelve” – that is he must not be hit by the ball for twelve continuous throws.
The Hasaposervikos dance is danced by groups of men and women.
People who dance hold each other
as shown on the above picture.
The 6 steps are vivid and in equal tempo.
One step left, one step right standing still. Then 2 steps to the right side. The same pattern continues till the end of the dance.
However, sometimes the steps are quick and two steps correspond with one tempo.
A P P L E S
Children are divided into two
teams. Then, they play “stone-scissors-paper” in order to decide which team
is going to be in. The other team is out and it tries to throw the ball onto
the opponents. The children who are inside must run quickly so as not to be
hit by the opponents’ ball. If somebody is hit by the ball then he is
“burnt” that is he goes out of the game. The aim of this game is to catch as many apples as you can, by catching the ball each time. If you catch an apple, you have one more “life” - that is you can play in the game for a second time.
