3rd Meeting in Turkey
30 of May – 6 of June 2009 in Erol Tarakcioglu Ilkogretim Okulu     
The third meeting in Turkey was successful. The Turkish school “Erol Tarakcioglu Ilkogretim Okulu ” in Menemen organized very well the whole program and we followed it absolutely. We are thankful to Mrs. Hatice Buket YERELI the coordinator, the Director Mrs. Semra YAPICI  and the whole Comenius team for their perfect work for all the participants and the children. The families who hosted our pupils were perfect too.

RESULTS of the 3rd   Meeting in Turkey «30 of May – 6 of June 2009»
During the meting in Turkey we had a lot of  trips by bus to Selcuk – Ephesus, the house of Virgin Mary, the traditional village Sirince, Stone Inn in Menemen, trip by boat to Foça Bays, Çeşme, visiting Ataturk’s Museum, Konak Mosque, Clock Tower and Kemeralti Bazaar, etc.We had also meetings with the local authorities, folk dance group, Vocational High School for Girls and OÇEM (autistic centre) etc.

Workshop No 1 (Questionnaire on the results of the first films and presentations) We discussed the comments from our pupils on the first film about the everyday life of a pupil from each country.

Workshop No 2 (Acting the legend) We presented the films with a legend – myth from each country.

Workshop No 3 (Dictionary) We presented the illustrated cards we created with the words from our common dictionary and the way we used to work about it.

Workshop No 4 (planning the next meeting) we organized the program as the next meeting will be in Lithuania, like the processing of the films (legend) and creating a herbarium with therapeutically – health herbs and using for meals also too. We will include nature, plants, landscape, herbs for healing and spices, for kitchen and recipes. We need a short description and use of each plant (using also the Latin name too). This work must be in 6 languages (minimum 12 pages –maximum 20 pages).

Other : We discussed again about the “Open day” to be organized till the end of this school year. Of course each school did it quite different because the specificities and the different relation with the local authorities.

2nd Meeting in Italy
21st to 28th of March 2009 in  Benedetto Croce school– Marsico Nuovo
         The second meeting in Italy was successful. The Primary and econdary school “Benedetto Croce” in ITALY organized very well the whole program and we followed it apsolutly. We are thenkful to Mrs. Grazia Maria Romaniello, the Headmistress Mrs. Patrizia D’ Amico and the whole Comenius team for their perfect work for all the participants and the children. The families who hosted our pupils were perfect also too.
RESULTS of the 2nd  Meeting in Italy «21 – 28 of March 2009»
1.      We decided the dates for our meetings and teacher exchanges.
The meeting in Turkey will be from Saturday 30 of May – Saturday 6 of June 2009.




2.     Workshops in Italy meeting:
 In our meeting in Italy 21 – 28 of March 2009 the partners from Greece, Turkey, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany and Italy presented the following:
  • Presentations of our country
  • Presentations of our school
  • Presentations of our school year calendar with all the celebrations, religious days, local traditions, national and regional holidays.
  • Presentations of our educational systems and the school organizing.
  • Film for the day life of a pupil in each participant country, and
  • Dictionary with words and phrases in 6 languages.
3.      What  we have to do for the next meeting in Turkey 30th of May – 6th of June:
  • We will watch all the above presentations and films with the pupils in each country and we will work to find out the Similarities, Differences, Surprising elements and answering the question “did you notice something in the films that you would like to have in your country, home or school too?”  For details and explanations we decided to send each school maximum 10 questions to each partner and the answers should help the pupils to understand the school life in each country. The result of this work will be 2-3 pages in word format and a power point presentation.
  • We will work with the “Dictionary” making illustrated cards with each word (in 6 languages) with a picture and the 6 flags. It can be also a spiral book too.
  • We will find common words in the 6 languages we will create small dialogs using the words (using maximum 10 words) in comics stile or cartoon.
  • We have to write the alphabet for the 6 languages (using a word for example – pronunciation). I am waiting from you an email with it till the end of week.
  • We have to create a Legend (small and known legend) and we will create a theatre - pantomime! A pupil will read the legend (with music background) and we will film it (maximum 10 minutes). It would be better if translations would be from the pupils (doesn’t matter the mistakes)!
4.      Other details
  • Proposals about the Open Day in the end of this school year 2008-2009.
Call of neighbouring Institutions and schools - Speech of Member of Parliament for Europe and European Union -Common action of all students on the subject the environment - Report of work of students - Common athletic activities and traditional games.
  • For the meeting in Lithuania we will work to make a Herbarium!

The meeting in Lithuania will be from Saturday 17 of Oct – Saturday 24 of Oct 2009.  The teacher exchanges: In Italy (from Greece & Lithuania) 28 Nov. – 5 Dec 2009.  In Estonia (from Turkey & Italy) 23 Jan. – 30 Jan 2010. In Turkey (from Estonia & Germany) 5 - 12 Dec 2009. The meeting in Germany will be from Saturday 20 of Mar. – Saturday 27 of Mar. 2010.  Finally the meeting in Greece will be from Saturday 08 of May – Saturday 15 of May 2010.

1st Meeting in Estonia 
1 – 8 November 2008 in NPO Agathe, 
Tartu Catholic School


The first meeting in Estonia was successful. The NPO Agathe, Tartu Catholic School organized very well the whole program and we followed it apsolutly. We are thenkful to Mrs. Diana Jezierska, the Headmistress Mrs. Liivi Lõhmus and the whole Comenius team for their perfect work for all the participants and the children. The families who hosted our pupils were perfect also too.

1. All the partners present their countries and schools with power point presentations and DVDs and local traditional dances and music. 

 2. We had the possibility to visit the NPO Agathe, Tartu Catholic School in Estonia, a lot of sights of Tartu area (museums and other intresting places).

 3. We organized the next meetings and the pupils participation.
 4. We organized the teachers exchanges for the whole project.

 5. About the meetings we discussed and agreed on the folowing proposals:
  • Transportation from the city where is the airport to the city/town of the meeting is payed from the budget of the visitors.
  • About the whole program is responsible the hosting country.
  • The whole program and responsibility of it by hosting country is payed from the budget of the hosting country.
  • Hotels, dinners i restaurants for the teachers etc. Is payed from the budget of the visitors.
  • Hosting families are covering the expancies of visitng children.
  • Keeping the accomodation as low as possible (it depends from country to country) is helping to fulfill the real aims of the project (aims: to involve pupils, teachers and associated partners through meetings, courses and workshops, activities to improve the quality of teaching and learning
6. We discussed and agreed to prepare each participant school a common “Open day of our school and community”. In this day we will organize activities has to do with our project. This Open Day will be on the end of the each school year – total two times.

 7. We will create a common website and blogspot where will be all the info about our project.
Our aim of our workshops during the project is to start from the beginning «0».

Pupils choose 20 words or phrases consider important in their language
After this it will be possible to compare linguistic priorities in each language
